If a tempering valve is fitted and there is no separate untempered line for the kitchen or laundry areas, the kitchen temperature controller will display temperatures above 50°C, but the delivered water temperature at the tap will be limited to the temperature set by the tempering valve, which is no hotter than 50°C.
